Igor Nikolaevich Igoshin (Russian:Игорь Николаевич Игошин; born 11 December 1970,Kirov, Kirov Oblast) is a Russian political figure and a deputy of3rd,4th,5th,6th,7th, and8th State Dumas. In 2004, he was awarded aDoctor of Sciences in Economics and Political Sciences.[1] His dissertation was notable forplagiarism.[2]
From 1995 to 1998, he worked as the CEO of the JSC "Agroproduct". In 1999 he was elected deputy of the3rd State Duma. In 2003, 2007, 2011, 2016, and 2021 he was re-elected for the4th,5th,6th,7th, and8th State Dumas respectively. He represents theVladimir constituency.[1][3][4]
During the spread of the coronavirus infection, Igor Igoshin took part in volunteer work: he provided food and medicine to people in high-risk groups — the elderly, large families, and people with disabilities — and drove therapists from the regional center to house calls.[5]
He was sanctioned by theUK government in 2022 in relation to theRusso-Ukrainian War.[10]
