Ian PlenderleithCBE (born 27 September 1943)[1] was a member of theBank of England'sMonetary Policy Committee from June 1997 to May 2002.[2]
He was a deputy governor of theSouth African Reserve Bank from January 2003[3] until 2005.
He is a former chairman ofMorgan Stanley since 2011 and the Board of Governors atReed's School, Cobham.
