ISO 3166-2:PW is the entry forPalau inISO 3166-2, part of theISO 3166standard published by theInternational Organization for Standardization (ISO), which definescodes for the names of the principalsubdivisions (e.g.,provinces orstates) of allcountries coded inISO 3166-1.
Currently for Palau, ISO 3166-2 codes are defined for16 states.
Each code consists of two parts, separated by a hyphen. The first part isPW, theISO 3166-1 alpha-2 code of Palau. The second part is three digits, which is the oldFIPS 6-4 code of the state.
