ISO 3166-2:PA is the entry forPanama inISO 3166-2, part of theISO 3166standard published by theInternational Organization for Standardization (ISO), which definescodes for the names of the principalsubdivisions (e.g.,provinces orstates) of allcountries coded inISO 3166-1.
Currently for Panama, ISO 3166-2 codes are defined forten provinces and four indigenous regions.
Each code consists of two parts separated by a hyphen. The first part isPA, theISO 3166-1 alpha-2 code of Panama. The second part is either of the following:
