TheFiber Optic Technical Advisory Group was to create aLAN standard forfiber optic media used in token passingcomputer networks likeFDDI.^[1] This was part of theIEEE 802 group ofstandards.

The group had given up and disbanded itself and is no longer a part ofIEEE standards.
