TheI'lam Foundation (Arabic :مؤسسة إعلام ,romanized : Mo'āssasat Iʻlām ) was a multi-language media center of theIslamic State that provides content in the languages of,[ 1] [ 2] [ 3] English ,French ,Uzbek ,Hindi ,Arabic ,Malayalam ,Turkish ,Pashto ,Persian ,Spanish ,Indonesian ,German ,Bosnian ,Hausa ,Albanian ,Tajik ,Uyghur ,Kurdish ,Somali ,Amharic ,Swahili ,Bengali , andMaldivian like the media centerAl-Hayat Media Center .[ 4] [ 5] [ 6]
In June 2024 it was dismantled by judicial and law enforcement authorities across Europe and United States in a large-scale operation to disrupt platforms and websites for terrorist communications, propaganda and radical messages.[ 7]
I'lam foundation normally gets its funding from outsidecryptocurrency donations,[ 8] such asMonero ,[ 9] [ 10] mainly from Islamic State supporters fromwestern countries ,[ 11] [ 12]
ISIS–K has used I'lam foundation in order to fund theIslamic State and ISIS–K usingRussian bank networks , they used I'lam foundation to spread awareness about their funding platform.[ 5] [ 13] [ 14] ISIS–K used I'lam foundation'sclear net anddark net website.[ 6] TheIMU has mostly used I'lam foundation for itsUzbek-language platform to spread its propaganda videos.[ 15] [ 16]
Halummu is an English jihadist translation service,[ 17] translating daily messages, leadership statements, periodicals, and videos created by the Islamic State.[ 18] It shares its content primarily throughTelegram or on ISIS' official website and is the sole English unit operating under the multilingual Fursan al-Tarjuma umbrella.[ 19]
