TheHyracodontidae are anextinctfamily ofrhinocerotoids endemic to North America, Europe, and Asia during theEocene through earlyOligocene, living from 48.6 to 26.3 million years ago (Mya), existing about22.3 million years.[2]
The Hyracodontidae thrived in therainforests ofKazakhstan,Pakistan, andsouthwest China, a former coastal region.Fossilevidence also extends their geographical range toGermany, as well as toMongolia.[3]
