Hughesville is anunincorporated community located along the border ofHolland Township inHunterdon County andPohatcong Township inWarren County, in theU.S. state ofNew Jersey.[2] The community is named after Hugh Hughes, a lawyer fromPhiladelphia, who built a forge here during the 18th century.[3]
TheHughesville Dam on theMusconetcong River was removed in 2016 to allowAmerican shad to spawn further upriver.[4]
