Hughes Winborne is aHollywoodfilm editor. He has edited 20films, includingCrash, for which he won anOscar for film editing in the78th Academy Awards. He also editedSling Blade (1996) andThe Pursuit of Happyness (2006), though his true passion resides in Indie features.[1]

Hughes graduated from theUniversity of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1975 (with a bachelor's degree in history). After working for several years, he enrolled in a film program atNew York University and discovered film editing.[2]

Winborne has been elected as a member of theAmerican Cinema Editors.[3]
