Hugh Conaghan (6 May 1926 – 24 March 2020) was an IrishFianna Fáil politician and transport official.[1] He was an unsuccessful candidate at theDonegal North-East by-election on 10 June 1976.

He was elected toDáil Éireann as Fianna FáilTeachta Dála (TD) for theDonegal constituency at the1977 general election.[1] He was elected at the1981 general election for theDonegal North-East constituency and was re-elected for this constituency until he lost his seat at the1989 general election.[2] He lost his seat to party colleagueJim McDaid.[3] He was an unsuccessful candidate at the1992 general election.[2]

Hugh Conaghan died on 24 March 2020.[4]
