Huaceae is a family offlowering plants in therosids clade, which has been previously classed in the ordersMalpighiales,Malvales, andViolales or in its own orderHuales. TheAPG II system placed it in the cladeeurosids I, whereas theAPG III system of 2009 andAPG IV (2016) place it within theOxalidales.[2][1] The family is endemic to centralAfrica. It contains four species in the following two genera:[3][4]
Afrostyrax includes three species whileHua is monotypic, only including the speciesHua gabonii.[5]
