Houtkerque (French pronunciation:[utkɛʁk]; fromDutch:Houtkerke) is acommune in theNorddepartment in northernFrance.[3] It is located near theBelgian border, 8 km (5.0 mi) north ofSteenvoorde, on the Steenvoorde/Hondschoote road. The riverYser crosses the border at Houtkerque.
