"House of Fashion" is the fifth episode of thefifteenth season ofRuPaul's Drag Race.[1][2][3] It originally aired on January 27, 2023.Janelle Monáe is a guest judge.[4]

For the episode's mini-challenge, the contestant "read" (playfully insult) each other.Loosey LaDuca wins the mini-challenge.

For the main challenge, the contestants, in three teams, design and create outfits from materials inspired by three of the show's judges: Team "House ofVisage" (Amethyst,Aura Mayari,Luxx Noir London,Mistress Isabelle Brooks, andSpice), Team "House ofKressley" (Anetra,Jax,Robin Fierce, andSalina EsTitties), and Team "House ofMathews" (Loosey LaDuca,Malaysia Babydoll Foxx,Marcia Marcia Marcia, andSasha Colby).

Amethyst (pictured atRuPaul's DragCon LA in 2023) is eliminated from the competition.

On the runway, the category is "Drag Race Fashion Week". In addition to RuPaul and Michelle Visage, Ross Mathews is a judge andJanelle Monáe is a guest judge. Luxx Noir London, Malaysia Babydoll Foxx, Robin Fierce, and Sasha Colby receive positive critiques, and Luxx Noir London wins the challenge. Amethyst, Jax, and Salina EsTitties receive negative critiques, and Jax is declared safe. Amethyst and Salina EsTitties place in the bottom two and face off in a lip-sync to "Q.U.E.E.N." (2013) by Monáe featuringErykah Badu. Amethyst is eliminated from the competition.
