TheHouse of Évreux was acadet branch of theCapetian dynasty, the royal house of France, which flourished from the beginning of the 14th century to the mid 15th century. It became the royal house of theKingdom of Navarre.
The House was founded byLouis, Count of Évreux.[1] He was the third son ofPhilip III of France, by his second wifeMarie of Brabant. His son and heir,Philip, was the husband ofJoan II of Navarre and the firstKing of Navarre from the Évreux dynasty.
Louis' younger sonCharles had no grandchildren. The Évreux dynasty ended with the death ofBlanche I of Navarre, who died in 1441.[2]
