Abba Hor (Coptic:ϩⲱⲣ),Besoy (Coptic:ⲯⲟⲓ; also known asPsoi andAbsahi), andDaydara (Coptic:ⲑⲉⲟⲇⲱⲣⲁ; also known asDidra orTheodora)[1] wereChristian martyrs inEgypt in the fourth century.
Hor was a soldier. With his brother Besoy, he confessed to his belief inChristianity atAlexandria during theDiocletian Persecution.[2]
Hor was subjected to prolongedtorture before being pierced by alance. Besoy wasdecapitated. Their mother, Daydara, died under torture.[2]
They are regarded assaints, with afeast day of 23 June in theCoptic Church and theAssyrian Church of the East.[2]
Besoy also has a separate feast day on 24 August.
