TheHomalco First Nation (Comox language:Xwémalhkwu, also spelledχʷɛmaɬku) is aFirst Nations government located inBute Inlet near the upperSunshine Coast ofBritish Columbia, Canada. TheHomalco are also known, with their neighbours theSliammon andKlahoose and theK'ómoks of nearby parts ofVancouver Island, as theMainland Comox. Their ancestral tongue is theComox language.
The Homalco First Nation is a member government of theNaut'sa mawt Tribal Council.[1]
