
Holy Trinity Church, Greenfield, is in Basingwerk Avenue,Greenfield,Flintshire,Wales (grid referenceSJ194776). It is an activeAnglican church in the former parish ofHolywell, the Estuary and Mountain Mission Area, the archdeaconry of St Asaph and thediocese of St Asaph.[1] The church was designated as a Grade IIlisted building on 19 August 1991.[2]
The church was built in 1870–71 to a design byEwan Christian. It consisted of anave and a southaisle, and hadlancet windows. Christian planned anapsidal chapel and avestry at the southeast, but these were never built.[3] The church was licensed for worship on 18 October 1871.[4] In 1910–11 theChester architectJohn Douglas added achancel in a simpler design.[3] The church wasconsecrated on 25 April 1911.[4] The current Vicar of Holywell is the Rev'd Dominic Austin CawdellOGS.[5]
