Holy See–Uruguay relations are foreign relations between theHoly See andUruguay.

Uruguay established diplomatic relations with the Holy See in 1856. Uruguay has an embassy to theHoly See. The Holy See has an embassy inMontevideo. The first Apostolic Delegate was Vincenzo Massoni.[1]
Pope John Paul II made twopastoral visits. The first was in 1987 and the second in 1988.[2]
The current Uruguayan ambassador to the Holy See is the theologianDaniel Ramada.[3] The current Apostolic Nuncio to Uruguay is the archbishopAnselmo Guido Pecorari.[4]
In June 2013, the Uruguayan PresidentJosé Mujica made an official visit toPope Francis.[5]
