Holospondyli is a proposedclade oflepospondyls from theEarly Carboniferous to theLate Permian[1] that includes theaistopods, theparaphyleticnectrideans, and possibly alsoAdelospondyli.[2] However, aistopods have since been recovered as stem-tetrapods more primitive thantemnospondyls or other groups of lepospondyls.[3]
