Hitsuji no Ki (Japanese:羊の木,transl. "Sheep Tree") is a Japanesemanga series written by Tatsuhiko Yamagami and illustrated byMikio Igarashi. Published byKodansha, it was serialized in theseinenmanga magazineEvening from June 2011 to April 2014, with its chapters compiled into fivetankōbon volumes. Alive-action film adaptation directed byDaihachi Yoshida was released in Japan in February 2018.
Hitsuji no Ki is written by Tatsuhiko Yamagami and illustrated byMikio Igarashi. It was serialized inKodansha'sEvening from June 14, 2011 to April 8, 2014.[2][3][4] Kodansha collected its chapters in fivetankōbon volumes, released from November 22, 2011 to May 23, 2014.[5][6]

Alive-action film adaptation of the manga titledThe Scythian Lamb was released on February 3, 2018. The film is directed by Daihachi Yoshida and had its premiere at the 2017 Busan Film Festival.[10][11]
The manga was one of the Jury Selections in the Manga Division of the 16thJapan Media Arts Festival Awards in 2012.[12] It was nominated for the 17th AnnualTezuka Osamu Cultural Prize in 2013.[13] It was also nominated for the 18th AnnualTezuka Osamu Cultural Prize in 2014,[14] and also for the Reader Award at the same awards.[15] It won an Excellence Award in the Manga Division of the 18thJapan Media Arts Festival Awards in 2014.[16]
