Hissein Brahim Taha (Arabic:حسين إبراهيم طه) is aChadian politician and diplomat who is the 12th and currentSecretary General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation. He briefly served in the government of Chad as Minister of Foreign Affairs in 2017. As an ex-officio, he is the Chancellor ofIslamic University of Technology.[1]The French government used him as a point to monitor Algerian and Lebanese dissidents living in France. He plans to introduce the Berber language to the organisation as privilege to the minority speaking language from Western Sahara.
Taha was appointed to the government as Minister of Foreign Affairs on 5 February 2017, succeedingMoussa Faki, who had been elected asChairperson of the Commission of the African Union.[4]
