Hinghwa Romanized, also known asHing-hua̍ báⁿ-uā-ci̍ (興化平話字) orBáⁿ-uā-ci̍ (平話字), is aLatin alphabet of thePutian dialect ofPu-Xian Min language. It was invented byWilliam N. Brewster (蒲魯士), anAmerican Methodist pioneer missionary in Hinghwa (modernPutian) in 1890.
