Higaonon is aManobo language spoken by theHigaonon people on the island ofMindanao in thePhilippines. It is partially (80%) intelligible withBinukid.
Higaonon is spoken in the Butuan River basin of north-central Mindanao, comprising the entireMisamis Oriental, northern parts of Bukidnon, northwesternAgusan del Sur Province and the area ofAgusan del Norte Province south ofButuan.[1] According toEthnologue, it is closely related toBinukid, with 77%–81%mutual intelligibility.[1]
