Hidria Spacefolk is aFinnishprogressive /psychedelic rock /space rock band. The group's sound is often compared toKingston Wall andOzric Tentacles.[1][2] The band describes their musical style as Astro-Beat. They use many different instruments such as thecello,violin,flute,didgeridoo,marimba,mandolin,sitar andvibraphone.[3]

Hidria Spacefolk's first album was the independently released EPHDRSF-1 in2001. Their debut full-length,Symbiosis, was released a year later through Silence, a subsidiary label of Wolfgang Records. The band's second full-length album,Balansia, was released in2004 and includedAndy McCoy ofHanoi Rocks as a guest musician.[4] The same year, a compilation album titledViolently Hippy rmxs was also released. The album contains remixes of Hidria Spacefolk's songs done by Finnish electronic music makers.[5]

Their performance at theNorth East Art Rock Festival inPennsylvania, US (July 2004) was released asLive Eleven am, in2005.[6]

In 2005 the band opened the second day of theinternational progressive rock festival that took place inMoscow,Russia.
