Hickenia is the name of twogenera of flowering plants, both named afterCristóbal María Hicken:

• HickeniaLillo, a genus ofApocynaceae containing one species now reclassified asMorrenia scalae(Hicken) Goyder^[1]
• HickeniaBritton &Rose, a genus ofCactaceae which included species now classified asParodia

The second of these, having been published in Britton and Rose'sCactaceae (1922) is an illegitimate homonym of the former, which was published three years earlier inPhysis (Buenos Aires) 4: 422.
