Henry Wyles Cushman (August 9, 1805 – November 21, 1863) was an American teacher,[1] farmer,[1] public house manager[1] and politician who served both branches of theMassachusetts General Court and as the 18thlieutenant governor of Massachusetts from 1851 to 1853.
Cushman was born to Polycarpus L. and Salley (Wyles) Cushman on August 9, 1805, inBernardston, Massachusetts,[1]
Cushman was a delegate to theMassachusetts Constitutional Convention of 1853.[2] He was elected a member of theAmerican Antiquarian Society in 1862.[3]
