Henry O'Callaghan (29 March 1827 – 10 October 1904) was anEnglishprelate of theRoman Catholic Church. He served asBishop of Hexham and Newcastle from 1887 to 1889.[1]
Born in London on 29 March 1827, he was appointed theBishop of theDiocese of Hexham and Newcastle by theHoly See on 1 October 1887. Hisconsecration to theEpiscopate took place on 18 January 1888, the principalconsecrator was CardinalLucido Maria Parocchi, and the principal co-consecrators were BishopWilliam Clifford of Clifton and BishopJohn Vertue of Portsmouth.[1]
He resigned on 19 September 1889 and appointedTitular Archbishop ofNicosia. He died inFlorence,Italy on 10 October 1904, aged 77.[1][2]
