SirHenry Alexander Miers,FRS[1] (25 May 1858 – 10 December 1942) was a Britishmineralogist and crystallographer.

Born inRio de Janeiro,Brazil, he was educated atEton College andTrinity College,Oxford. He was elected aFellow of the Royal Society in 1896.[1]

He was Professor ofCrystallography at theVictoria University of Manchester 1915–1926 andVice-Chancellor of the University during the same years.[2]
