Henrik Nordbrandt

Danish writer (1945–2023)

Henrik Nordbrandt (21 March 1945 – 31 January 2023)[1] was a Danish poet, novelist, and essayist. He made his literary debut in 1966 with the poetry collectionDigte. He was awarded theNordic Council's Literature Prize in 2000 for the poetry collectionDrømmebroer ("Dream Bridges").[2]

Although a Danish writer, he spent much of his life in theMediterranean basin and this is said to have had an influence on his writing.[3][4]

In 2007 the Polish painterKasia Banas carried out a project that included paintings inspired by the poetry of Nordbrandt.[5]
