Helen Bernhard Bakery operates in a converted house at the intersection of 17th andBroadway,[1][2] innortheast Portland'sIrvington neighborhood. Thebakery has served apple fritters,[3]cinnamon rolls,muffins,[4]cakes and cakedoughnuts,sugar cookies,[5]sourdough,[6] and otherpastries.[7] The bakery has soldking cake forMardi Gras,[8] pumpkin cake forHalloween,[9] and decorated sugarshortbread cookies during the holiday season.[10]

History

The bakery was established in 1924.[11][12] Mike and Kellie Snaadt owned the business in 2020.[13]
