Heather Mazur is an American actress, best known for her role as Sarah Cooper in the 1990 filmNight of the Living Dead.
Mazur was born inPittsburgh. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts fromCarnegie Mellon University and a Master of Fine Arts from theYale School of Drama.[citation needed]
Mazur did not act on screen for over ten years afterNight of the Living Dead was released, before making a guest appearance in the television seriesHack in 2003. Since then she has guest starred inNumb3rs,Joey,CSI: NY,CSI: Miami,Medium,Criminal Minds,Law & Order: LA,The Mentalist,Bones and theJ. J. Abrams-produced unsold television pilotAnatomy of Hope. She also had recurring roles inCrash (2008–2009) andPretty Little Liars (2010–2012). She portrayed Deputy Mayor Eileen Ashby in the soap operaGeneral Hospital from 2021 to March 30, 2023, when she was flung off a bridge by Victor Cassadine.
Her film credits includeOver Her Dead Body (2008), the direct-to-video filmThe Funeral Planner (2010), andA Leading Man (2013). She has also acted on stage.[1]
