TheHeart of Texas Wildlife Trail is a state-designated system of trails and wildlife sanctuaries inCentral Texas in theUnited States. It is one of the four major wildlife trail systems designated by theState of Texas.
The trail system is divided into two main groupings of wildlife viewing sites. The first stretches from theColeman area, nearAbilene, throughAustin andSan Antonio, toLaredo.[1] The second is a cluster in theTexas Hill Country and southwestRio Grande Valley bounded roughly bySan Angelo,Del Rio, andFredericksburg.[2]
