Harshaali Malhotra (born 3 June 2008) is an Indian actress and model who works inHindi films andtelevision series. She is best known for her role as Munni inKabir Khan's drama filmBajrangi Bhaijaan (2015) which earned her nomination for aFilmfare Award for Best Female Debut.[2][3]
Harshaali was born on 3 June 2008 inMumbai,Maharashtra, India[1] into aPunjabi Hindu family ofkhatri tribe.[4]
Malhotra made her film debut with a leading role inKabir Khan's 2015 drama filmBajrangi Bhaijaan, alongsideSalman Khan,Kareena Kapoor andNawazuddin Siddiqui. She played the role of Shahida also known as 'Munni', aPakistani Muslim girl. Her performance as a mute girl was critically praised and earned her theFilmfare Award for Best Female Debut nomination, making her the youngest person to be nominated in the category and won theScreen Award for Best Child Artist among several other awards and nominations. She also received the Bharat Ratna Dr. Ambedkar Award in 2022 for her performance inBajrangi Bhaijaan.[5][6]
She has acted in serials such asQubool Hai (2014) andLaut Aao Trisha (2014).
