Harry GabbCVO (1909 – 1995) was an Englishorganist, who served atLlandaff Cathedral,St Paul's Cathedral and theChapel Royal.[1]
(William) Harry Gabb was born in Ilford, Essex on 5 April 1909.[2]
He studied organ at theRoyal College of Music where he won the George Carter Organ Scholarship.
He was awarded theMVO in 1961 and theCVO in 1974. He was a Special Commissioner for theRoyal School of Church Music, and as a Council Member of theRoyal College of Organists. on 16 May 1974 he was awarded a Lambeth Doctor of Music by the Archbishop of Canterbury
He died on 16 March 1995 at the age of 85.
He married Helen Mutton in 1937. They had one son.
