From its source (44°59′46″N67°16′55″W / 44.996°N 67.282°W /44.996; -67.282 (Wilson Stream source)) inCharlotte, Wilson Stream runs about 10 miles (16 km) southeast toDennys Bay. It changes name to Hardscrabble River at about the point where it is crossed byU.S. Route 1 (44°56′02″N67°13′34″W / 44.9338°N 67.2261°W /44.9338; -67.2261 (Wilson Stream / Hardscrabble River)). This section of the stream separatesPembroke on its left bank fromDennysville andEdmunds on its right.
