Hannah Sell (born 1971) is a BritishMarxist political activist. She is general secretary of theSocialist Party[1] having been a member of the party and its predecessor,Militant, since the 1980s. Sell succeededPeter Taaffe as general secretary in 2020. She was a member of the National Executive Committee of theLabour Party in 1988 and 1989,[2] representing theLabour Party Young Socialists. She was national secretary ofYouth against Racism in Europe (YRE) between 1992 and 1996.[3]
She is the author of the bookSocialism in the 21st Century[4] and numerous articles inThe Socialist andSocialism Today.[5] She has also been supportive of theYouth Fight for Jobs campaign which aims to raise awareness of youth unemployment and provide a voice for young unemployed and low paid workers.
