Hanna Carolina Westerén (born 23 September 1981) is a Swedish politician and member of theRiksdag for theSwedish Social Democratic Party. She is currently taking up seat number 13 in the Riksdag for the constituency ofGotland County. Since 2018 she has been a member of theCommittee on Environment and Agriculture.
Westerén lives in Länna, inVisby and she has been politically engaged since the early 2000s. She had previously worked for theSwedish Social Insurance Agency but has been a full-time politician since 2010.[2] She has had a seat atGotland's Regional Council, and since 1 February 2015 she took over the work fromChrister Engelhardt as a member of parliament.[3] Since 2018 she is the group leader for the Social Democrats in theCommittee on Environment and Agriculture.[4] During April 2018 until September 2018 she was a member of theCommittee on Industry and Trade. She joined theWar Delegation in October 2018.[1]
Between July 2018 and October 2019, she was on parental leave and her replacement,David Lindvall, took over during that time.[1]
