Handen (also known asHaninge Centrum) is a part ofMetropolitan Stockholm and the seat ofHaninge Municipality inStockholm County in easternSweden. Handen had around 15,092[1] inhabitants in 2018.
Geographically and statistically Handen is a part of theStockholm urban area. Handen has a station on theStockholm commuter rail system and a largebus station serving great areas ofSödertörn.
Handen is where the municipality seat ofHaninge is located.Haninge's major shopping center, Haninge Centrum, and the joint campus ofKTH andSödertörn University are also located here.
