Hammes Company is a real estate development and investment company focused on healthcare and sports headquartered inMilwaukee,Wisconsin.[1] It was founded in 1991 byJon Hammes.[2]
Hammes Company was founded by Jon D. Hammes in 1991 as areal estate consulting firm.[1] By 1993, the company managed over $100 million in property development and $25 million in facility development in five Midwestern states.[2] In the mid-1990s, the Hammes Company oversaw the development of theKohl Center at theUniversity of Wisconsin–Madison, which led to the creation of the company’s sports division.[3]
In 2007, Hammes Company purchased the majority share of a company called Health Inventures that developed and managedambulatory surgery facilities internationally.[4] In 2008, the company was engaged to manage the development of the first new hospital in theNew Orleans area sinceHurricane Katrina;[5] the facility, St. Bernard Parish Hospital, opened in 2012.[6]
The company was hired by theGreen Bay Packers for the 2003 renovation ofLambeau Field.[7]
In 2018, Foxconn Technology Group selected Hammes Company to develop master plans for the Wisconn Valley Science and Technology Park (WVSTP) in Racine County, Milwaukee.[8]
