Hamilton Avenue station is a station on theRiver Linelight rail system, located on Hamilton Avenue inTrenton,New Jersey.The station opened on March 15, 2004.[1] Southbound service from the station is available toCamden, New Jersey. Northbound service is available to theTrenton Rail Station with connections toNew Jersey Transit trains toNew York City,SEPTA trains toPhiladelphia, Pennsylvania, andAmtrak trains. Transfer to thePATCO Speedline is available at theWalter Rand Transportation Center.
This station was not in the River Line's original plans, but was added when the public demanded a stop to serve theCURE Insurance Arena which opened in 1999 on the opposite side ofRoute 129.
