Hal Dwane Mitchell (August 11, 1930 – November 15, 1993) was a professionalAmerican footballoffensive tackle in theNational Football League (NFL) for theNew York Giants.[1] He playedcollege football at theUniversity of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and was drafted in the 14th round of the1952 NFL draft. Mitchell was the head football coach atBrigham Young University (BYU) from 1961 to 1963, compiling an 8–22 record.[2] Mitchell died of cancer on November 27, 1993, at his home inCorralitos, California.[3]
