HEPnet or theHigh-Energy Physics Network is[citation needed] atelecommunications network for researchers inhigh-energy physics. It originated in the United States,[1] but has spread to - or been connected with - most places involved in such research, including Japan,[2] Europe,[3] and Canada,[4] amongst other places. Well-known mainland US sites includeArgonne National Laboratory,Brookhaven National Laboratory andLawrence Berkeley.[citation needed]
