Binary star in the constellation Camelopardalis
HD 89571 (HR 4062 ) is abinary star [ 12] circumpolar constellation Camelopardalis . It is faintly visible to thenaked eye with a combinedapparent magnitude of 5.51[ 2] light years [ 1] Solar System . However, it is receding with a heliocentricradial velocity ofkm/s [ 4]
The primary has astellar classification of A9 V,[ 3] A-type main-sequence star .David S. Evans gave it a slightly warmer class of A6 V[ 13] [ 14] F-type subgiant . Nevertheless, the two components take roughly 2years to orbit each other at a mean separation ofmas [ 6]
The components havemasses ofM ☉ M ☉ [ 7] M-type star . HD 89571 has aradius ofR ☉ [ 1] luminosity ofL ☉ [ 8] effective temperature ofK [ 10] million years old[ 7] projected rotational velocity ofkm/s [ 10] metallicity , equating to aniron abundance 110% that of theSun .[ 11]
