SIMBADdata

HD 32309 is a single[8]star in the southernconstellation ofLepus. It has a blue-white hue and is visible to the naked eye with anapparent visual magnitude of 4.91.[2] The distance to this object is 197 light years based onparallax.[1] It is drifting further away from theSun with aradial velocity of +24 km/s.[2] This is a member of theColumba association of co-moving stars.[9]

This is aB-type main-sequence star with astellar classification of B9V.[4] It is around 124[5] million years old and is spinning rapidly with aprojected rotational velocity of about 300 km/s.[5][3] Mass estimates range from 2.56[3] to 3.24[5] times themass of the Sun and it has about 3.1[6] times theSun's radius. The star is radiating 46.5[2] times theluminosity of the Sun from itsphotosphere at aneffective temperature of 12,450 K.[5]
