HD 148156 b (also known asHIP 80680 b) is anextrasolar planet which orbits theG-typemain sequencestarHD 148156, located approximately 168light years away in theconstellationNorma. This planet has at least nine-tenths the mass ofJupiter and takes 25 ninths years to orbit the star at asemimajor axis of 2.06AU.[1] However unlike most other known exoplanets, itseccentricity is not known, but it is typical that itsinclination is not known. This planet was detected byHARPS on October 19, 2009, together with 29 other planets.
