HD 100777 b, formally namedLaligurans,[2] is anextrasolar planet located approximately 172light-years away in theconstellation ofLeo, orbiting thestarHD 100777. It has a minimum mass about 1.17 times greater thanJupiter and takes about 384 days to orbit its star. It has asemi-major axis of 1.03AU and a moderatelyeccentric orbit around its star. Thevelocity of the orbit is 29.3km/s.Dominique Naef discovered this planet in March 2007 by usingHARPSspectrograph located inChile.[1]
