HDEP-28 orethylnaphthidate is astimulantdrug of thepiperidine andnaphthylaminopropane groups, closely related toethylphenidate, but with thebenzene ring replaced bynaphthalene. It is even more closely related toHDMP-28, which acts as a potentserotonin–norepinephrine–dopamine reuptake inhibitor with several times the potency ofmethylphenidate and a short duration of action.[1] It has been sold as adesigner drug since around 2015.[2]

[edit]

HDEP-28 was banned in the UK as aTemporary Class Drug from June 2015 following its unapproved sale as a designer drug, alongside4-Methylmethylphenidate.[3][4][5]
