Héctor Rodríguez Castro (born March 26, 1982) is a Venezuelan lawyer and politician. He is currently the governor ofMiranda. He served as the nationalMinister of Education in the cabinet ofNicolas Maduro.
Castro was born inRío Chico, Venezuela on March 26, 1982.[1]
On 9 January 2014, he was appointed as Minister of Popular Power for Education until his dismissal on 4 September 2015 to be a candidate for deputy to theNational Assembly of Venezuela.[2] He was elected deputy list by theBolívar state for the period 2016–2021 in theparliamentary elections of 6 December 2015 by theGreat Patriotic Pole.[3] He won theregional elections in Miranda in 2017.[4][5] Earlier that year, he was elected as a member of theNational Assembly of Venezuela in the state of Miranda.[6]
Castro is married and has two sons.[1]
