TheGuyana women's national cricket team is the women's representativecricket team of the country ofGuyana. They compete in theWomen's Super50 Cup and theTwenty20 Blaze.

History

Guyana joined the West Indies domestic structure in 1977, competing in theFederation Championships, in which they finished 4th out of 5 teams.[1] They competed again in the next edition of the tournament, 1980, winning two matches, againstGrenada andBarbados.[2]

Guyana then did not compete in any tournaments until 2001, losing every match in their return season.[3] They have competed in most tournaments since, with a brief hiatus in 2006 and 2007, and joined theTwenty20 Blaze for its inaugural season in 2012.[4] In 2013, they reached the semi-finals of theT20 competition before losing to eventual winnersJamaica.[5] They achieved their best finish in the 50-over competition in2014, reaching the final before losing to Jamaica.[6]

In the most recent season, 2023, Guyana finished as runners-up in theTwenty20 Blaze and finished 5th in theSuper50 Cup.[7][8]
