TheGurupura River (also known as Pachamagaru River, Phalguni River or Kulur River[1]) is a river in theKarnataka state ofIndia.[2] It originates in theWestern Ghats and is a distributary of theNetravati River, which empties into theArabian Sea, south ofMangalore. It gets its name from the townGurupura, situated near Mangalore. TheNew Mangalore Port andMangalore Chemicals and Fertilizers are situated on its northern banks.
